Diana Stanley is a Wichita native whose practice includes property, business law, natural resources, and oil and gas.
Diana earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Kansas in 2020, where she received the Environmental and Natural Resources Law certificate and the Hershberger Energy Law Award and placed second in the National Environmental Moot Court Competition. She has published on natural resources, environmental, property, and oil and gas law. She is a co-author of the Oil & Gas Law Chapter of the Kansas Bar Association’s Annual Survey of Law and the Kansas chapter of the American Bar Association’s Annual Update on Oil and Gas Exploration and Production. Diana was a member of the Institute for Energy Law’s 2025–2026 Leadership Class and has co-taught oil and gas law.
Diana is active in the legal profession at both the state and national levels. She was named the Kansas Bar Association’s Outstanding Young Lawyer of 2024 and serves on the KBA Board of Governors. She also serves on the KBA Bar Journal of Editors and the Title Standards Committee. Nationally, she serves as the Kansas Young Lawyer Delegate to the American Bar Association’s House of Delegates and as a Young Lawyer Fellow to the ABA Standing Committee on Professionalism. She has also held leadership positions with the Kansas Women Attorneys Association and the Wichita Bar Association.
Diana earned her B.A. in History from Newman University in 2017 and remains active in the Wichita community. She serves on the governing bodies of Newman University and Audubon of Kansas.
