At Depew Gillen Rathbun & McInteer, LC, we view our summer internships as an important step in identifying and mentoring future attorneys who will join our firm after graduation. Each year, we hire one or two outstanding law students to experience the practice of law in a supportive, hands-on environment. This program is designed to provide the skills, insights, and connections necessary to transition into a successful legal career with our firm.
Current law student (1L or 2L preferred) with a demonstrated interest in joining a small law firm after graduation.
Strong academic performance and exceptional research, writing, and analytical skills.
A proactive attitude, attention to detail, and commitment to professionalism and ethics.
Participation in law journal or moot court is a plus.
Assist with legal research and drafting memoranda, pleadings, contracts, and other documents.
Assist with case analysis and discovery processes.
Participate in client meetings.
Collaborate on firm projects and contribute to solving real legal challenges.
